• October 2025 3 day Campout

We are headed to Sid Richardson Scout Ranch for our 3 day camping weekend. We have a lot of exciting things to do while we are there. We are going to be working on Wilderness Survival and camping in a cave, hiking through the cliffs exploring to find a hidden spring and waterfall as well as working on the Cooking Merit badge and Canoeing on Sunday. If you cannot come out for the whole weekend then join us when you can. This camp is relatively close so its easy to do.

  • Back to Scouting 1st meeting of the year

We will be starting back up on September 7th. I hope everyone is excited for this upcoming year! We will have a Mandatory Parent meeting during the Scout Meeting. TTFC is still from 2:00-3:30 and the Troop meeting is from 3:30-5:00 at the Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church.

  • April Campout to Longhorn Caverns

How do you combine the best of both worlds where you can boulder and go caving at the same time! Longhorn Caverns Wild Cave tour is where its at! We will be dawning helmets, gloves, kneed pads and a headlamp and go where most people don’t get to go. We will be crawling up and over and through the caves with an experienced guide. This is the one time where you are allowed to touch the walls in the caverns just don’t play with the cute hanging hamsters… (bats)! This is hands down one of my favorite wild cave tours and you will remember this for a lifetime. The weather is looking beautiful and a great weekend for camping

  • March Campout Palo Duro Canyon State Park

We are going back to the stunning Palo Duro Canyon State Park!

“Palo Duro Canyon is the second largest canyon system in the United States. The canyon is about 120 miles long and 20 miles wide, and is up to 800 feet deep. It extends from Canyon to Silverton. You can see the beautiful colors of the four geologic layers as you descend 500 feet to the floor of the canyon. The canyon began forming a million years ago. But the walls of the canyon tell a much older geologic story – about 250 million years old!”

  • Summer Camp 2025

We are looking at Sending the Troop out to Camp Alexander in the Pikes Peak Council in Colorado this year. This camp has come with high regards from scouters and leaders as being an amazing Scout Camp. If you have ever camped in Texas summers then you can understand the plight of our scouts to head out of state for camp. Being above 8k feet brings cooler weather and picturesque camping opportunity
