NOTES ON TRIP
We are doing our annual COOK OFF!!!! Saturday Night will be the cook off. Each patrol needs to show up with their best efforts to create the winning meal. Plan on cooking just a little more than usual to account for the taste testing! We have the Shotgun Range reserved for Saturday morning and the Rifle Range reserved for the afternoon. If you do not have either of these merit badges this will be a great time to work on them.
FOOD: We will be doing a meal planning meeting, and the patrols will be cooking the entire weekend. I expect the scouts to all fully participate in this endeavor and not leave it up to one person.
GEAR CARRYING: The normal camp gear will be needed, a tent, day pack, water bottles. We will be bringing the trailer for this campout.
DANGEROUS PLANTS/ ANIMALS/ REPTILES AND INSECTS:
- Plants are our Common Poison Ivy, Sumac and Oak
- Reptiles are Rattlesnakes, Copperheads, Water Moccasins and Coral Snakes
- Insects are Black Widow Spider, Brown Recluse Spider, Fire Ants, Scorpions and Wasps.
